The Asus Transformer Book Duet TD300 was touted as a big screen (13.3-inch) tablet that would let you run either Android or Windows at the touch of the button.

Although the company's involved haven't commented publicly, numerous reports said Asus has decided to drop the product after pressure from Google and Microsoft, neither of whom liked the dual-OS concept.

Now comes word that Huawei's plans to release a dual-OS smartphone have also been cancelled.

Just last week a Huawei executive told the site Trusted Reviews that the company planned to release a smartphone that runs both Android and Windows Phone in the U.S. in the second quarter of this year.

But now Huawei says its plans have changed. The company said, in a statement to the site FierceWireless, that it is focused on Android and “at this stage there are no plans to launch a dual-OS smartphone in the near future."
