Following in the footsteps of Toshiba in announcing a Bay Trail tablet, Asus detailed the Transformer Boom T300 as being a convertible model (it comes with a keyboard dock) which features a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 resolution IPS screen, a 1.33Ghz Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and between 32GB and 64GB of storage.

The tablet also runs the soon-to-launch Windows 8.1, has a 1.2MP camera, Microsoft Office Home & Student and comes with connections for USB, micro SD and micro HDMI. You can also tap into USB 3.0, a keyboard and a touchpad with the tablet dock.

Asus says that the Transformer Book T300 will launch in late October, with the 32GB model to retail for $349 and the 64GB version to go for $399. Both prices include the keyboard dock.
