January 14, 2013

The Memo Pad features a 7-inch 1024 x 600 resolution display, the 1GHz VIA WM8950 CPU, the Mali-400 GPU and runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), while its 4270mAh battery gives an estimated seven hours of battery life.

Internal storage starts at 8GB and goes up to 16GB, with expansion up to 32GB possible through the microSD card slot, while the tablet also comes with 1GB of RAM, a front-facing 1MP camera and supports direct access to Google Play.

The WiFi-only Memo Pad is expected to become available in the U.S. later this month, and is also expected to reach a number of emerging markets.

Asus says that the device is a "tablet-only product", meaning it will not come with any kind of keyboard dock.
