Job Search is a great, minimalist app for performing job searches. Simply Hired users will find it similar to search on the company’s web site, while new users will find it an easy-to-use search engine. It also has exhaustive options from nearly any major industry and company.

CareerBuilder has long been a solid job search site, and its iPad app makes for another good selection. 

Create an account and then tap into the rather large database of jobs available from the Careerbuilder site. Touch the star next to each job listing to save it to a personal profile, so you can later easily apply to the ones that spark your interest.

On iOS the app is known as Jobs for iOS; it is just titled Jobs in the Google Play Store.

Forbes Career Advisor is a mix of how-to articles, industry news and job listings from the business-focused publisher. Favorite a story and save it for later reading if on the go. There are also extensive company profiles and a good mix of business news that can provide good background information when conducting career research.
