Looking to buy yourself a new computer? Macbooks are popular among Mac OS X fans, Windows skeptics, creative individuals and those who appreciate a good-looking laptop. Apple does make some great computers, but they are also known for being pricey.

Lucky for you, Macbook deals happen to come often. In this article we show you some of the best Macbook deals online, so you have come to the right place if you are looking to save some bucks on an Apple computer. Shall we get started?

For the sake of relevance, we will stick with Macbooks that are currently available from the Apple Store. Older Macbooks will not be added to the list, but you can probably also find some great deals for those, with a little searching.

Macbook

Macbook 12

Simply called the Macbook, this laptop is one of the slimmest and better looking laptops in the market. It features Apple’s iconic metal design, but it’s more in line with its newer products. Packed inside is an Intel Core M processor, 8 GB of RAM, 256/512 GB of internal storage and a 12-inch 2304 x 1440 LED screen.

It’s a great computer, albeit a little overpriced, with a starting price of $1,299. But we are here to get you some good deals, aren’t we?

Macbook Air

Via Apple

The Macbook Air is a favorite among Apple computers for a few reasons. It happens to be the most affordable Apple laptop, to begin with. And that doesn’t mean they lack in performance. For a while they were actually better than some Macbook Pros, thanks to the SSDs built into their thin bodies. By the way, these laptops revolutionized the industry and changed our expectations in terms of portability.

The smallest Macbook Air has an 11.6-inch screen, while the biggest sports a 13.3-inch display. Both measure only 1.7 cm at their thickest points. It may not have a Retina Display, but this is a worthy computer considering it has an $899 starting price (or lower, if you go with these deals).

Macbook Pro with Retina Display

test

If what you want is the most power you can get from an Apple laptop, the Macbook Pro lineup is beat by none. And now that they come with a Retina Display they make great machines for gaming, editing, media consumption and your everyday tasks.

There is a non-Retina version around, but we are not really listing it here, as the specs and price don’t seem to justify its place in the market. Our guess is that it will disappear soon, honestly. But let’s get back to the goods!

The Macbook Pro with Retina Display comes in two sizes: 13.3 inches and 15.4 inches. The base version is priced at $1,299, while the higher-end 15-inch version goes for $2,499. Add in all the upgrades and you are looking at a $3,199 laptop. But these computers come with great Intel Core processors, enough memory, a great display and more.

Student discounts

You may not need to go to another retailer to get a lower price on your new Macbook. Apple does offer educational discounts, so long as you can prove your status as a student. Some of those discounts can also get pretty enticing, so you best check out the Apple Education Store and see if you qualify. By the way, some students may get a free Beats headset if they purchase right now!

Buying refurbished?

MacBook 3

Refurbished products are those which were returned or taken off the shelves. This may be due to an insurance claim, manufacturer defect or an endless list of reasons. Regardless, these products have been fixed and usually do come with a short warranty period, just in case anything goes wrong. They also carry a much smaller price tag.

You can find refurbished products all over the web, but we would recommend sites like Newegg, Amazon and eBay.
