With dozens of new tablet game releases every week, it can be daunting to try to determine which ones are worth your time. It wasn't easy this week, but we narrowed it down to ten suggestions.

A few really big names came out this week: Assassin's Creed Pirates is a swashbuckling adventure from Ubisoft, while Dragon Age Heroes takes the series in a new direction with a free-to-play hero collection game. Meanwhile The Wolf Among Us, from The Walking Dead makers Telltale Games, is a story- and character-driven adventure based on the Fables comics.

You may have heard of Skulls of the Shogun if you follow gaming in general, as it made a splash (of cartoony blood) on Windows, Windows Phone and Xbox 360 earlier this year. Now the charming strategy game has been released on iOS, and iPad users have one fewer reason to be jealous of their Microsoft-loving counterparts.

The Double Dragon Trilogy combines three old school brawler games into one package for iOS and Android, while Space Hulk brings the classic Warhammer 40K board game to tablet screens. Tank Domination focuses on tank customization and real-time multiplayer combat, and Wurdy is like the multiplayer board game Taboo, but looser and cheaper.

Finally, continue?9876543210 and Pretentious Game are the artsy titles of the week, with equal helpings of smug self-awareness and well-designed puzzles.

Flip through the slideshow below for more on each new game. Their descriptions are taken from their App Store pages.
