As to be expected, the photo of the tablet shows that it has a host of different connections, including micro and standard USB ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a full-sized SD card slot. On the other side of the slate, there appears to be a power button and volume controls.

So, what is there to suggest that it is Google’s first foray into own-branded tablets? Well, not a lot to tell to truth, and the presence of an Android Market icon would suggest that Google drew up these plans before morphing Android Market into Google Play, which seems unlikely. What doesn’t help is the fact that PocketNow’s source has given no context for the picture.

Prior to this rumor, there has been a spate of rumors on a Google branded tablet. Sources say that Asus is to build the first Nexus tablet – said to a 7-inch device with a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and a price point between $149 and $199. There had even been reports that the tablet could come to market as early as next month.
