In a note announcing it would be joining Google on its website, SlickLogin said the search giant shares it core belief “that logging in should be easy instead of frustrating, and authentication should be effective without getting in the way.”

“Google was the first company to offer 2-step verification to everyone, for free – and they’re working on some great ideas that will make the internet safer for everyone,” the message said.

Although it’s never been released commercially, Slicklogin has been working on a smart identification technology that uses high-frequency sound waves to streamline the authentication login processes for users.

SlickLogin said its technology operates through a users’ smartphone and requires no complex interactions; users just have to place their phone next to their tablet or laptop and will be able to log in.
