Also inside this week's roundup of the web's best tablet tips: Powerful Android tablet tricks, and how to avoid counterfeit apps.

The fact that the Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0 update is finally here is great news for owners of the QNZ powered tablet. Unfortunately, as TabTimes editor George Jones explored in his PlayBook 2.0 review last week, one of the device's big shortcomings is still the dearth of compatible and useful applications.

Fortunately, Crackberry.com explains, this app gap can be surmounted by sideloading specially converted Android apps on to the tablet.

The process is pretty straightforward:

  • First, you'll need to download and install a pair free software package to their Windows PC.
  • Next, select the pre-converted Android files you want to load onto Playbook from a list provided by Crackberry's readers.
  • Finally, you place your Playbook into developer mode in order to effect the transfer.

If you've ever dreamed of having Amazon's Kindle app or an official Dropbox client on your Playbook, this is your chance. For specific details on how to achieve all of the above as well as a list of pre-converted apps, head over to Crackberry.com's walkthrough.
