Flipboard added new features to its “Flip It” button that now gives Flipboard curators more control over their magazines.
Among the new features, curators can now promote their covers, see readership stats and control reordering items from a web interface.
Flipboard already offers a wide range of popular magazines online, but with Flip It, you can create your own magazine to add to the popular online magazine rack.
As Flipboard explains in a blog post, the process is pretty straightforward. First you need to create a Flipboard account. Then tap on the + button on any article, photo or video within Flipboard, or get the “Flip It” button and drag it to your browser bar.
Whenever you come across a Web page you want to add to a magazine, click “Flip It.” You’ll be prompted to sign in with your Flipboard username and password, after which you can place the item into any of your magazines or create a new one.
The new magazine can be viewed in the Flipboard app in the My Flipboard area.
