Smartphone wonder… and woe
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are here!
10 days after Apple’s big event and Team TabTimes headed Down Under to check out the new iPhones in person. Before we could even get to launch day, Apple was shrouded in controversy as it became apparent that people lining up for days for the iPhone launch wouldn’t be able to buy the iPhone 7 Plus. Nonetheless, the following day we got our hands on a few iPhones – six to be exact – and proceeded to drop them, before dunking them in water and using them for some vlogging with interesting results.
Of course many of you are wondering by now which smartphone to buy so we put them up against each other, compared the iPhone 7 Plus to the Galaxy Note 7 (including a camera test) and against the Galaxy S7. Less than a week later, our iPhone 7 review, iPhone 7 Plus review and Apple Watch Series 2 review landed so check them out and if you’re looking for accessories, our roundups of the best iPhone 7 accessories and best iPhone 7 Plus cases will help you there! If you’ve got the new iPhone, we recommend checking out these first ten things you should do but whatever you do, drilling a hole into your iPhone is NOT the answer!
Looking ahead to October..
And that’s a wrap for last month but what does this month have in store? On October 4th, Google is announcing its new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones – which are the successors to the Nexus range – while Apple could hold its rumoured Mac and/or iPad event towards the end of the month. The LG V20 hasn’t gone on general sale yet so expect that during October and this week also sees Oculus play host at its Oculus Connect event, where we’ll hear more about the Oculus Rift.
Finally, we’ll also have a lot of reviews, comparison and versus roundups for you to check out this month but for now, we recommend our HP Spectre 13 review (and a comparison against the Apple Macbook 12) and our roundups of the Best 4K monitors and Best Ultrabooks!
