More mobile game developers leave EA, this time from Chillingo

MCV broke the news that Chris Byatte and Joe Wee, who founded Chillingo in 2005, have left EA. EA purchased the prolific smartphone and tablet game publisher in 2010.

Chillingo confirmed it with Pocket Gamer, while EA confirmed the news with IGN. Neither company has anything interesting to add in a statement at this point beyond confirmation that the two have departed.

EA seems to be shedding talent; last week EA-owned PopCap CEO Dave Roberts and studio co-founder Jason Kapalka were reported to be leaving the companies, and shortly afterward Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry, the co-founders of Criterion, left EA as well. Criterion is not a tablet game developer, but it's interesting nonetheless that in just a week EA has lost six top people at studios it's purchased.
