TabTimes’ TABLET STRATEGY West has announced two keynoters for its inaugural San Francisco event happening February 20.

San Francisco -- TABLET STRATEGY West, the first conference in the San Francisco Bay Area to focus on the business use of tablets, will feature keynotes by highly regarded executives from Genentech and Box.

Biotech giant Genentech was an early adopter of tablets and mobile computing and has now deployed more than 14,000 iOS devices worldwide to improve its employee's productivity. Genentech also built its own iOS app store back in 2008 because an off the shelf version did not exist.

Raj Harapanahalli, Director of North America Application Services at Genentech is slated to kick off the event. He will share how Genentech is managing its business with tablets along with some of the important lessons learned along the way to use them most effectively.

Box is a more recent Silicon Valley success story. Born out of a need to keep mobile workers connected via cloud computing services, the company has done quite a bit to make tablets a key driver of enterprise productivity. Over 140,000 businesses use Box's virtual storage and file-sharing service.

Box's Chris Yeh will keynote TABLET STRATEGY WestOur second keynoter is Chris Yeh, who helps enterprise clients select and manage the right platforms for his company’s services. Among other topics, Box's dynamic VP of platform strategy will address how tablets in the enterprise are going to be indispensable to “the next billion digital workers.”

We’re thrilled to bring TABLET STRATEGY to the West Coast and kick off the event with a couple of local legends who have embraced the tablet business culture.

Attendees can expect to gain useful insights and practical tips on how to best integrate and develop tablet projects from the likes of Genentech, Box and the other tech and business savvy speakers we have lined up.
