Interactive e-book publishing platform Inkling confirmed today that it has received $16 million in new funding. The firm has also announced new partnerships with publishers Pearson and Elsevier.
The San Francisco-based firm closed a $16 million series C round of funding on Wednesday and revealed that Pearson and Elsevier are now on-board in a move which will see both migrate to Inkling’s cloud-based publishing platform, Habitat, for producing digital copies of their books.
The two companies have invested in Inkling before, which now has around 600 books available for the iPhone, iPad and the web.
Formed just four years ago, Inkling specializes in providing mainly digital versions of college textbooks and other educational titles.Source article
