Consumer-friendly iOS 7 set to debut Wednesday with key enterprise feature

by TabTimes Staff

September 16 2013

Apple's iOS 7 is set to debut this Wednesday, with plenty of new features users will like, but also some good news for enterprise IT departments.

With the iOS 7 update, Apple's mobile operating system now supports enterprise single sign-on. This is a game-changer because it means that once a user's identity is verified and trusted, enterprise apps or commercial apps that access enterprise data or services won't require users to repeatedly authenticate with their Active Directory or enterprise credentials.

Even better, Apple is making it relatively easy for developers to implement its single sign-on model.
