A digital marketing company has released what it calls a “boss-approved” gaming app that’s designed to teach the importance of using social media services like Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and Facebook in marketing.

The free app, called “Turtle or Soup. Survival of the Smartest,” is a racing game featuring Roi, the All-American Small Business Turtle, and his arch-nemesis, Biggie the Rabbit. It’s available at Apple’s iTunes store (for iPhone and iPad) and Google Play for Android devices.

Depending on how well you do in the game, you’re either the turtle who outsmarts the competition, or you become your competitor's soup. Borenstein Group, the game’s publisher, says the player’s mission is to win the race along the Washington D.C. Beltway and beat Big Business using Google, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other strategic marketing advice to generate awareness, drive new leads, and improve brand visibility.

"With mobile, digital and social media dominating how people interact and engage, we wanted to find a fun and educational way to show management and employees how these tools can help businesses grow – from branding, to lead generation to increasing market awareness,” said Gal Borenstein, Borenstein Group’s CEO Gal Borenstein.
