The Alan Wake developer showed off a new iPad strategy game during Spike TV's VGX show.
The Video Game Experience, hosted on Dec. 7 by gaming personality Geoff Keighley and Community star Joel McHale, was filled with announcements, trailers and bad jokes concerning the most hyped and anticipated upcoming console games. But one tablet game shared the stage with the likes of Bungie's Destiny, Respawn's Titanfall, and Tim Schafer's Broken Age.
That game was Agents of Storm, a new IP showed off on iPad that Remedy's Head of Digital Partnerships Johannes Paloheimo called a "reverse tower defense action-strategy game."
Remedy was on-hand showing off Quantum Break, its upcoming time-bending Xbox One exclusive game, but spared a few minutes for the tablet game as well.
It appears players will construct fleets of ships and attack island bases, though they didn't show much gameplay. Paloheimo said that it's a fun project to work on.
Agents of Storm is expected out on iOS some time in 2014. The other highlight of the show was the announcement of No Man's Sky, a procedurally-generated multiplayer space exploration game from indie developer Hello Games.
