Rockstar removed the iOS vesion of Chinatown Wars from the App Store in September thanks to an iOS 7 compatibility bug, but now it's returned with a couple of improvements.

Now back in the App Store, Chinatown Wars has been updated to version 2.0 and now includes support for iOS 7 and for Retina displays.

GTA: Chinatown Wars launched originally on Nintendo DS in 2009, but its App Store description suggests that the iPad version is superior. "Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars HD brings the most-critically acclaimed handheld title of this generation to the iPad with stunning 2048 X 1536 HD graphics," it reads. "With new control layouts optimized for the iPad, higher polygon-count models and all new lighting and effects, this is your chance to get behind the wheel of the best looking Chinatown Wars ever."

Just take a look at the screenshots in the App Store and you can see that the game looks great now. Give it a try if you're hankering for some more old school Grand Theft Auto gameplay.
