iOS 7.1 App Store search results now warn if a game has in-app purchases

With the just-released iOS 7.1 Apple has added a new warning to search results for apps that feature in-app purchases.

Now users can see whether a game features microtransactions without having to tap on the result and open its full description. It's not a big deal, but it is proof that Apple is mindful of the controversies surrounding free-to-play games right now.

The App Store is under particular scrutiny from the UK's Office of Fair Trade and the European Commission, which in February was holding discussions with Apple and Google and said it was considering taking action against "misleading" free-to-play games.
