Tablet accessory maker Belkin intends to launch a new Bluetooth keyboard case for Apple’s iPad mini in the coming weeks.
Following just a few days after news broke on Logitech's UltraThin Keyboard for the iPad mini, Belkin announced a Bluetooth keyboard of its own for Apple’s tablet.
The stylish FastFit doubles up as a case, is just 7mm thick -- making it slimmer even than the iPad mini, and boasts Belkin’s own TruType keyboard technology for tactile feedback when keys are pressed.
The case is made from anodized, aircraft-grade aluminium, while the presence of a magnetic sensor ensures that mini will lock or wake when the case is closed or opened.
Belkin says that the FastFit can deliver 155 hours of “active use” through the Bluetooth connection and says that the keyboard will be available in black and white, matching the colors of the 7.9-inch iPad mini.
The accessory maker has not yet announced when the keyboard case will be launched, but does say that customers will be able to pre-order device from its website “soon”. The Belkin FastFit Bluetooth keyboard case will sell for $79.
