A new campaign on crowdfunding website Kickstarter aims to make tablet stylus pens a lot more useful than they are today.

Morrison Innovations, a small Rochester firm comprising a man and his wife, recently prototyped the Klick Stylus, a unique stylus which quickly transforms from a 5mm capacitive stylus tip to a ballpoint pen.

The ability for a digital stylus to be used for conventional handwriting isn’t overly unique – Wacom previously launched a model which has a digital stylus at one end and a pen nib at the other, but the Klick Stylus is different in that the pen nib passes through the capacitive stylus tip when the user clicks the button at the top.

The Kickstarter project has raised just over $2,000 to date and will end on June 5. You can pledge your support to the campaign and found out the detailed history of the company by visiting the Kickstarter page
