LifeProof’s latest iPad mini case looks tough enough for field workers

Rugged tablet accessory maker LifeProof is preparing to launch a new case for the iPad mini which protects the Apple device from water, dirt, snow and shock.

Announced this week at the CTIA conference in Las Vegas, the LifeProof fre case for the iPad mini includes a tethered headphone jack cover and a removable shoulder strap for easy portability.

Some useful case accessories will head to market this summer and these include a floating LifeJacket ($59.99), a portfolio cover ($39.99) and a mounting cradle ($49.99).
