Hurry up if you want to buy the new Surface 2 Power Cover & Docking Station

by TabTimes Staff

October 25 2013

Microsoft’s fancy new peripherals for the second-generation Surface tablets may already be in short supply, according to new reports.

ZDNet’s Mary Jo-Foley first reported that some Power Cover and Docking Station customers were getting their devices ahead of their scheduled availability, and Paul Thurrott's Windows SuperSite later claimed that Microsoft execs have said that the accessories will be available early but only in ‘limited quantities’.

Microsoft announced the new Power Cover, which boosts tablet battery life by 75%, and the $200 docking station, which has USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort and Ethernet connections, at the Surface 2 unveiling in New York last month.
