Latista iPad app helps field engineers and construction workers get the job done
Latista, a self-proclaimed leader in field management solutions for construction, has updated its iPad app so that field workers can access, view and mark project documents even when offline.
An update for the app (free, iTunes) was released yesterday and is said to offer 20 new features to help address some of the problems faced by project managers, contractors and subcontractors when out in the field.
Claiming that it ‘eliminates the need for paper in the field’, Latista says that users of the iPad app can take, mark-up and manage photos, complete and upload interactive inspection forms and identify equipment quickly using the iPad’s integrated barcode feature.
Furthermore, iPad users can get a quick snapshot of a project’s progress, collaborate on projects with others and complete a punch list at the end of the working day. They can also generate workflows and project approvals, which can be synced to the Latista cloud.
