It looks increasingly likely that GarageBand for iOS will soon be free to download on your iOS 7-compatible iPhone or iPad.

The music making application has always cost $4.99 in the past but MacRumors recently spotted a page on Apple’s website showing a new icon alongside a footnote which apparently detailed that the app is now free on all iOS 7 devices.

The page has since been deleted but the note reportedly read as follows:

“GarageBand is free on the App Store for all iOS 7 compatible devices; additional GarageBand instruments and sounds are available with an in-app purchase. iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated on or after September 1, 2013.”

Apple is set to announce two new iPads tomorrow, so expect to hear more from Apple on this news then. TabTimes will be reporting from the show, so stay tuned for further news and analysis.
