SwiftKey 4.3 for Android smartphones and tablets finally arrives on Google Play

by TabTimes Staff

November 6 2013

After less than a month in beta, virtual keyboard specialist SwiftKey has announced that its latest update is now available to download from Google Play.

SwiftKey 4.3 is a unified app which works equally well on Android smartphones and tablets and it lets user customize the layout of their keyboard for the first time.

The new ‘Layouts for Living’ feature enables users to move the keyboard around the screen, shrink it for one-handed use and even split it in two for two-handed typing. Another less notable addition is that the app now supports the Canadian English language.

As with previous editions, the app (free, Google Play) supports SwiftKey Cloud to sync personalized settings across devices, and accepts swipe-based text input. The app is a free update for existing SwiftKey users, but has also been discounted at launch in a number of European countries.
