Amazon has released a new operating system update for its new Kindle Fire HD and HDX tablets, with the change bringing about a number of new features including for enterprise.

The ecommerce giant has bumped the tablets’ operating system up to Kindle Fire OS 3.1 and the new version sees the introduction of full integration with Goodreads as well as Second Screen. The former lets readers rate and review books, as well as find out what their friends are reading, while the Second Screen integration enables users to “fling” movies and TV shows from their slate to a nearby TV.

Fire OS 3.1 also lets users organize books, newspapers and magazines into Cloud Collections, which are automatically synced across all your devices, while voice dictation, wireless printing and improved battery life round off the update.

Fire OS 3.1 is now rolling out to Amazon’s latest tablets starting today.
