Google has released a new version of Chrome for iOS that brings to iPhone and iPad a number of features that were previously only available in the Android app.

For example, Chrome for iOS now supports Google’s Opera Turbo-like, data-compression proxy. You have to explicitly enable this feature which offers as much as 50% data compression on your web browsing.

The new release also includes built-in support for Google Translate.

Another new feature for iOS is an updated new tab page for iOS designed to  make “searching faster and easier.”
