Scribd update brings 'YouTube of documents' to Kindle Fire

January 29 2014

Scribd, called by some the YouTube of documents, has launched a Kindle Fire app and updated both its Android and iOS apps with new features.

The Kindle Fire app (like the iOS and Android versions) lets Scribd's premium account holders check out e-books from the company's library of 100,000 + titles that make up the backbone of Scribd's e-book subscription service.

New features in the iOS and Android version include more fonts, a night reading mode, and the ability to rate content within the app.
