Can you really build an app in three minutes without coding? The founders of iBuildApp did just that in an onstage demonstration.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- iBuildApp offers a publishing and tools platform for creating apps for Android devices and the iPhone or iPad. Depending on how ambitious you want to get, you can create an app from scratch by clicking on features in iBuildApp’s market of widgets and components (e.g. Video List to have your app display videos as a list with titles and text descriptions).
The company, which presented on stage here at the DEMO conference, offers different levels of app builder.
The free app builder includes unlimited downloads, but branding and ads from iBuildApp will appear in the app; Basic ($9.99 / month) removes the iBuildApp branding and ads and supports up to 200 downloads a month; Business ($39 / month) gives you 200 to 1,000 downloads a month and the Enterprise version ($79 / month) includes phone and remote desktop support, and unlimited downloads.
iBuildApp says its customers have already built over 60,000 mobile apps using its platform and iBuildApp-created apps are showcased at the company's site.
Templates can cost anywhere from $.99 to $4.99 and higher.
iBuildApp CEO Rafael Soultanov told TabTimes the company also plans to offer app building for Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Nook’s Tablet.
Apps are still subject to approval at the App Store. You have to complete a set number of steps to complete an app using iBuildApp and the platform will offer feedback as to elements you may be missing before you can expect to get App Store approval.
