Continuing with similar rumors last month, new internet sources are convinced that the Korean electronics manufacturer will unveil an 11.6-inch Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) tablet at next month’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.
Specific details on the tablet are few and far between at present. German-language website TabTech gives the screen size (not the resolution) and says that the tablet will run Android 4.0, while AndroidAndMe believes that the slate will have a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and the 2GHz Exynos 5250 dual-core ARM chip, which was announced by Samsung late last year.
In fact, the source claimed to have seen a prototype slate with these specifications at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this month.
The rumors are almost identical to those as reported by BGR in December. The source said that Samsung would bring an 11.6-inch, 2560 x 1600 resolution tablet with Android 4.0 to Barcelona's Mobile World Congress (MWC). The website added that the tablet would offer support Android Beam, for syncing files with a Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone.
