Ematic launches budget 10-inch eGlideXL Pro 2 with Ice Cream Sandwich

Ematic’s latest, the eGlideXL Pro 2, ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Ematic Digital Assistant and Navigator (EDAN) software.

The eGlideXL Pro 2 features a 10-inch capacitive-touch display, and the HDMI out supports 1080p output to an HD TV. Under the hood, the eGlideXL Pro 2 is powered by a 1GHz Processor and 400MHz GPU, backed by 1GB of RAM. The tablet ships with 4GB of internal storage, and the MicroSD card slot can add up 32GB. Users also have access to an additional 5GB of cloud-based storage via Wi-Fi.

An onboard 3-axis gyroscope and accelerometer support motion-sensing, and there’s also a front-facing camera for chat applications.

Voice-recognition comes in the form of EDAN, which allows users to search by speaking, as well as dictate email and other text hands-free.

The eGlide XL Pro 2 retails for $219.99.
