Japanese tablet maker Fujitsu today announced the Stylistic M532 tablet; a 10-inch Android 4.0 slate with a Tegra 3 chipset, 3G connectivity and pre-loaded apps for Citrix Receiver and Norton Tablet Security.
The tablet is due to hit the UK market in the middle of next month and has a number of strong features which may interest those businesses looking to bring Android tablets into the workplace.
The Stylistic M532 has a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of flash storage, while 3G is built in as standard. The 10-inch screen is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass and has a rather standard 1280 x 800 resolution, while there’s an 8MP camera on the rear, and a 2MP camera on the front.
Where the M532 comes into its own is with the pre-loaded applications. There’s Adobe Acrobat Reader, remote desktop apps for Citrix and VMware, an Absolute Software Computrace agent, the ThinkFree Mobile office suite, and a 12-month subscription to Norton Tablet Security. Furthermore, Fujitsu’s own Managed Mobile software is an optional extra for those IT departments looking to manage and secure mobile devices remotely.
Fujitsu’s Stylistic M532 doesn't come cheap however and will sell for £476 (approximately $750), when it launched in the UK this June. The tablet is expected to be released in other countries thereafter.
