Want to buy an Ice Cream Sandwich tablet for under $50? Now you can...

If you’re willing to put brand loyalty aside, there are some bargains to be had in the Android tablet market, with one Chinese vendor now coming to market with a $49 Ice Cream Sandwich slate.

ITOne Digital has launched a tablet which has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 1.2GHz processor, 4GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD memory card) and 512MB or 1GB of RAM. The tablet is available in China, but it is not yet known if it will head to the US or Europe.

Earlier this week, US vendor Idolian continued its assault on the low-end Android tablet market with the IdolPad+, a 7-inch $98 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet. As with the above model, this tablet has a 7-inch screen, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and a microSD slot, while there are also connections for mini-USB and micro-HDMI, as well as a front-facing video camera.
