Rumors on a smaller iPad just keep on coming, with the latest report suggesting that the 7.85-inch iPad Mini will tip up before the year is out for ‘significantly less’ than the $499 charged for the new iPad.
This news comes from the reliable source of The New York Times, which gathered the information from several people with ‘knowledge of the project’. These folk did however decline the invitation to be named.
Apple, as ever, refused to comment on the rumors, which have always inadvertently helped fuel demand for Apple products over the years.
Rumors on a smaller iPad have been floating about for some time now, with the most reliable reports indicating that the iPad Mini will have a 7.85-inch IGZO display (possible with a 1024 x 768 resolution), a $299 price point, 8GB or 16GB of memory and a launch date of October.
