Research in Motion confirms that the 32GB 4G PlayBook tablet will first launch in Canada on August 9.

Aside from being able to connect to 4G LTE networks, the new PlayBook has the same specifications as its older brother.

There is a 7-inch 1024 x 600 resolution display, a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, dual-facing cameras and 32GB of storage.

The tablet also runs the BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 OS, offers integrated apps for Calendar and Contacts, and allows users to access to the BlackBerry App Word store.

Enterprises will be able to manage the tablet using RIM’s BlackBerry Mobile Fusion technology.

The PlayBook will debut through carriers Bell, Rogers and TELUS in Canada first, but will hit the rest of the world in the coming months.

Just last week, a leaked document from Canadian carrier Bell suggested that the 4G PlayBook was to debut on July 31.
