Two months on from announcing the SlateBook x2 and HP is now listing the 10-inch convertible Android tablet on its sales website.

HP has since confirmed that the device is now available and is shipping to online customers, although the official launch date of August 2013 would suggest that retail stores may have to wait a week for the Android tablet to arrive.

The SlateBook x2 costs $479.99 including a keyboard dock, and boasts some impressive specifications.

The slate has a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution display, a quad-core Tegra 4 processor, a 16GB solid-state drive and 2GB of system memory. It runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

The model also offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, while a magnetic docking mechanism enables users to quickly switch between laptop and keyboard mode.
