LG is shipping the latest iPad mini rival to American shores

LG has announced that its 8.3-inch G Pad tablet will be coming to the U.S next month, starting at Best Buy on November 3.

The tablet, first announced at IFA in Germany last month, is set to retail for $349.99 and offers a smart 8.3-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and runs Android 4.2.2 with a custom LG user interface layered over the top.

There is also dual-facing cameras, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, as well as connectivity for a micro SD card.

There is a little more to the G Pad than meets the eye however. The excellent ‘Q Pair’ app let you sync your tablet to your phone – allowing you to reply to messages or phone calls on either device – while the Slide Aside feature will let you multi-task on up to three apps simultaneously.
