Allcast brings presentation features to Android smartphones and tablets

by TabTimes Staff

December 3 2013

Allcast is a new app designed to make it quick and easy to project content from an Android phone or tablet to a wide range smart TVs and set-top boxes.

Currently available in a beta release, Allcast works with devices like the Apple TV, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Samsung Smart TVs, and other devices and HDTVs that support the DLNA standard.

The advantage for Android users is the ability to show photos and videos without having to worry about cables, wireless protocols. Allcast could easily be used with almost any connected TV for sales pitches, marketing proposals, or other business presentations.

Keep in mind though, this is still beta software and to use it, you have to join the CyanogenMod beta testers community
