A new HP tablet showed up on the tech giant’s online store this week and it looks like a pretty good deal  for a low end device.

The HP 8 is a quad-core Android 4.22 tablet with a 7.85-inch IPS display.

For $169.95 you won’t get max features, for example the HP 8 has only 1 GB of memory and 16GB of internal storage, but there’s also a microSD slot for additional storage options and battery life is listed at a reasonable seven hours.

HP also includes a one year limited hardware warranty with toll-free tech support.

The new HP tab fills a gap between the HP Slate7 Plus priced even lower at $149.99 and the HP Slate 10 HD at $299.99. As their names imply, those other two have 7- and 10-inch screen sizes respectively.
