An update to Skitch includes what Evernote says are “a ton of improvements and bug fixes” for better performance and design improves to the core annotation tools.

Evernote says Skitch 2.7, which lets you digitally mark up PDFs, screenshots and pictures on phones and tablets, now features the annotation tools in a more convenient place on the home screen.

Specifically, the redesigned tool and style bars expand along the corners of your screen to more clearly display your options.

Using a smartphone or tablet you can now select the options with one hand — just tap and drag your finger along the colors or tools and release on the option you want. Once you make your selection, the bars collapse to let you annotate your content in full-screen.
