Two unrelated articles suggest that tomorrow’s iPad Mini unveiling will see Tim Cook's Apple promote the new 7-inch tablet in conjunction with new eBooks, and push the iPad as being ideal for use in education.

In the lead-up to the event, a number of industry analysts have told TabTimes that they believe Apple will announce ‘something on the media consumption side’ when unveiling the iPad Mini, and it appears now that this may see the firm center on eBooks.

The Next Web recently discovered that certain titles in Apple’s iBookstore are now required to support the unreleased “iBooks 3.0”, and suggests that there is at least one title in the French iTunes Store specifying this requirement.

Meanwhile, in addition to promoting both the features of the iPad Mini and the possible introduction of iBooks 3.0, another report figures that Apple will also use the launch to reinforce how good the iPad is for use in education.

Citing a source familiar with Apple's plans, Bloomberg Businessweek reveals that the Cupertino giant will use the event to promote how useful the iPad is for educational establishments.

Sadly, the report doesn't go any further on how the firm might do this, while there is also no mention if Apple will be promoting the educational benefits of just one iPad, or the entire tablet family.

Apple’s iPad Mini event is taking place at the California Theater in San Jose tomorrow. Stay tuned to TabTimes for related news and analysis from the show.
