Apple’s new iPad mini is sure to attract many of the same case makers and peripheral makers that already support the full-sized iPad line.
The latest is Otterbox, which has announced a new Defender Series of cases for the iPad mini.
Features include a built-in screen protector, sturdy polycarbonate shell and shock-absorbing silicone designed to keep the iPad mini safe from bumps, drops and shock.
Otterbox says silicone plugs round out the outer layer, keeping dust and dirt out, but allowing for easy access to the charging port, headphone jack and silence switch.
A removable screen shield keeps the Multi-Touch display safe when the iPad mini is stuffed in a bag and doubles as a viewing stand for efficient typing and web browsing.
Available colors include Black (black polycarbonate, black silicone); Crevasse (white polycarbonate, gunmetal grey silicone); and Blushed (stone grey polycarbonate, peony pink silicone).
Priced at $69.95, the Defender Series for iPad is available at the company’s website and select retail locations.
