Rumors resurface to suggest the next iPad and iPad mini will launch in March

It has been claimed that the next iPad mini will feature a Retina Display
Topeka Capital analyst Brian White believes that Apple will release its fifth-generation iPad and second-generation iPad mini in just two months’ time.

In an investor note obtained by Business Insider, White said that his information came from sources at last week’s CES exhibition in Las Vegas.

Our checks at CES indicate Apple will release the iPad 5 and the second-generation iPad mini this March. The iPad 5 is expected to be lighter and thinner than the iPad 4 that was released in October, while the form factor of the iPad mini should be similar to the first generation iPad mini that debuted in October.

White’s comments certainly tie in with previous reports which hint at a new iPad and iPad mini coming in March, while Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster also estimated March to be the month of launch for the iPad mini with Retina Display.

Rumors on the next 9.7-inch iPad and 7.85-inch iPad mini have come in waves in recent months, with the latest reports suggesting the normal iPad will have slimmer bezels, and that the iPad mini will feature a Retina Display and dual-core A6X processor.
