Documents.Me has released an iOS app for iPad and iPhone users that aggregates documents from different public and private clouds for ready viewing both off and online.
In addition to its ability to search, access and read documents on-the-go, the free Documents.Me app lets users take various actions with their files including light editing, saving locally to the device, sharing and copying documents to various clouds. Users can also create custom project folders with documents from various clouds for better organization.
Documents.Me founder R. Paul Singh said the new app is designed to go beyond other more limited solutions to access documents on iOS devices.
“Up until now, there have been many point solutions for accessing files: one to remotely access PC and Mac documents, one to access Email attachments and one to access each of the public cloud drives. This can make searching for relevant documents on-the-go difficult and time consuming,” said Singh.
The company says the app has been used by thousands of users since the beta version was introduced late last year.
