An iPad accessory will get some time in the spotlight tonight on ABC’s popular Shark Tank show where entrepreneurs pitch their products to a panel of potential investors.

The show features several tech investors including Mark Cuban, billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team. Cuban made his initial fortune selling his video site, Broadcast.com, to Yahoo for $5.7 billion back in 1999 and has since invested in and started a number of other high tech ventures.

Entrepreneurs invited to participate on Shark Tank typically pitch their products in exchange for an ownership stake, though sometimes they win a royalty deal. But the panel is known for asking probing questions and giving sharp-tongued critiques along the way. They often reject some of the pitches out of hand, especially if the company or startup hasn’t already established a sales track record or they don't see its market potential.

Tonight they’ll hear from a Minnesota rabbi, Moshe Weiss, who’s invented an iPad speaker called SoundBender, a compact, magnetic, power-free accessory that fits over an iPad speaker to enhance its sound.

SoundBender is already sold online and in Walgreen's stores for $12.99. It launched last year on Kickstarter, the crowd-sourced funding site.

In a video clip preview of the segment that ABC made available, the four investors seemed amused by the rabbi's folksy pitch, but whether any of them invest in the product remains to be seen.
