Here come the accessories. Now that the iPad mini’s been out a few months, more accessories are starting to appear for Apple’s smaller iPad.

Logitech, an early backer of the iPad with keyboards and protective covers, has announced the Ultrathin Keyboard mini, similar to its Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for the fuller-sized iPad line. It’s expected to be available this month.

The $79.95 Ultrathin Keyboard mini has a slim aluminum cover that matches the iPad mini that’s designed to provide “durable protection” with minimal added weight. It clicks securely into place via magnets.

As is standard with other protective covers, Logitech’s keyboard cover has an instant On/Off feature that automatically wakes the iPad mini when you open the cover and switches to standby when you close it.

You can flip the cover around and use the built-in Bluetooth EasyType keyboard. Despite the iPad mini’s smaller form factor, the keys in the Logitech keyboard are standard size in a traditional typing layout. It also doubles as a hands-free view stand to prop up the iPad while you’re typing.

The keyboard also includes iPad mini function shortcut keys for commonly-used such as copy and paste. Logitech estimates the keyboard has about a  three-month battery life based on usage of two hours per day.
