Apple's second iPad will only have a handful of iOS 7 features

Apple's second-generation iPad may remain popular with consumers and business buyers alike but the tablet won't support most of the new features coming from the iOS 7 operating system.

Apple announced iOS 7 in San Francisco yesterday but, as TechCrunch details, most of the operating system's features will not be heading the way of older iPhones and iPads.

For instance, the original iPad and iPhone 3GS skip iOS 7 altogether while the new AirDrop tool will only come to the iPad 4 and iPad mini.

The iPad 2 will only receive the Siri updates and iTunes Radio, while Filters in Photos and a new capture mode will come to the iPad 3 and newer devices. Even the iPad 4 and iPad mini will miss some features, namely panorama and filters in the Camera update.
