BlackBerry brings Secure Work Space app to enterprise iPads and Android tablets

by TabTimes Staff

June 25 2013

BlackBerry announced today that its Secure Work Space app is now available for Android devices and Apple’s iPhone and iPad.

The solution is essentially an encrypted container (AES-256 standard) which separates corporate and personal data, and all without requiring a VPN connection.

Upon logging in with their credentials, users have access to a web browser as well as clients for email, calendar, task management and editing documents.

The one sticking point here is that enterprise employees will only be able to take advantage of this container app if their company has deployed BlackBerry Enterprise Server 10.

The app currently shows up on Google Play but is not yet available on the App Store.
