Apple is widely rumored to be planning to roll out a new iPhone on September 10. The speculation and "insider" reports have also pointed to the unveiling of a new iPad as well, but now that's in doubt.
Well known Apple follower Jim Dalrymple of The Loop, reported on Wednesday that there will be "no iPads" at Apple's upcoming event. The keynote is expected to feature Apple's next-generation iPhones, said to be called the "iPhone 5S" and "iPhone 5C."
There is a clear precedent for iPhone being the focus. Last year, Apple introduced the iPhone 5 at a media event in September and followed that up in October at another media event where it unwrapped the iPad mini and the redesigned 5th generation iPad. That may well be Apple's plan for this year as well.
